| just an update on manpower's new pay
system: it is now sunday, two days since i first tried to turn my hours
and i have just made another failed attempt.
went christmas
shopping yesterday (and some shopping for myself.) over all it was a
sucesseful day as i finished most of my shopping.
last night was
the work christmas party. it was pretty, made more fun in being friends
with the dj so we got things played like unearth and hank III.

manpower is such a wonderful company, i'm so glad i work for them. so
last week we were supposed to start turning our hours in either online
or over the phone. well we all had a feeling that they were going to
mess it up, but not this fast. evidently they forgot to inform phillips
plastics of this change and thus did not give them the training/info
needed for this to work. so last week was a no go on that. now this
week we're supposed to start so i tried and the system won't let me.
evidently my social security number is not in the system. well i called
manpower and evidently all their employees assigned to plastics have
called them because it's not letting them turn their hours in either.
maybe they should get their crap together and get something working for
once. the guy still hasn't updated my address so not only do i not get
my pay stubs here, they go to my parents it's the pre-911 address and i
gave him the new one six months ago. also he can't seem to get my new
phone number into the system even though i keep giving it to him and he
has called me back on it once. so my parents keep having to relay
messages to me because he calls them instead of me. is this all worth
it? i don't know. | | |
| I've been listening to this song quite a bit. I think this is something that really needs to be said:
Let's Impeach the President by Neil Young
Let’s impeach the president for lying
And leading our country into war
Abusing all the power that we gave him
And shipping all our money out the door
He’s the man who hired all the criminals
The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors
And bend the facts to fit with their new stories
Of why we have to send our men to war
Let’s impeach the president for spying
On citizens inside their own homes
Breaking every law in the country
By tapping our computers and telephones
What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees
Would New Orleans have been safer that way
Sheltered by our government’s protection
Or was someone just not home that day?
Let’s impeach the president
For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected
Dividing our country into colors
And still leaving black people neglected
Thank god he’s cracking down on steroids
Since he sold his old baseball team
There’s lot of people looking at big trouble
But of course the president is clean
Thank God | | |

| there's something about nighttime freeway driving that just makes you want to keep driving off to some undetermined destination. one of these days i'm going answer that call...
we have officially hit the cold part of fall and i don't have a winter jacket down here. 25 degrees today and it's supposed to be in the low thirties for awhile. oh and today we got both snow and rain, such a lovely combination and to think i was paintballing at night not even a week ago.
last saturday at breakfast i met the "wonderful" paul nelson. for those of you, who don't recognize the name look back to the article i posted a link to last month about the man running for state congress, who is pushing for profiling of muslims and you'll see who i'm talking about. i was really tempted to get into it with the guy, but i passed up the opportunity. now i almost wish that i had. it might have been kind of fun.
i just found out that my last girlfriend is pregnant and has mono. part of me wants to say "serves her right" and the other part wants to feel sorry for her. i'm leaning towards the first one after what i was put through, but i'm trying not to dwell on it too much. it's time to move on and try to forget about it.
